Jean Dauvissat Pere et Fils Chablis 1er Cru ‘Fourchaume’ 2020
Fourchaume is the best known of the Chablis premier crus, perhaps because it is an extension of the Grand Cru vineyards, and benefits from a similar Right Bank exposition. Round, mature fruit, crystalline purity, sweet, lemony acidity classic cool river rock minerality. A classic Chablis premier cru.
Jean Dauvissat Pere et Fils Chablis 1er Cru ‘Cote de Lechet’ 2020
A classic Cote de Lechet, about as mineral as Chablis can be. This premier cru Cote de Lechet is a model of Left Bank precision, razor sharp, with juicy, mouth-watering acidity. A characteristic floral attack and gun-flint smokiness fill the mid-palate, and the finish is bright berry fruit and long, long minerality.
Jean Dauvissat Pere et Fils Chablis 1er Cru ‘Vaillons’ 2021
This Chablis 1er Cru ‘Vaillons’ is remarkable for its limpidity; it catches light and reflects it like a jewel. Vigorous and full, this is a big wine with fat decadent spicy fruit and deep lingering minerality. Balanced and precise from the attack, through the mid-palate to the long finish, this is a very well-made wine.
Jean Dauvissat Pere et Fils Chablis 1er Cru ‘Cote de Lechet’ 2021
A textbook example of Côte de Léchet, this premier cru captures Chablis at its most mineral. It’s a benchmark for Left Bank precision—razor-sharp and driven by vibrant, mouth-watering acidity. The wine opens with its signature floral lift, followed by a mid-palate laced with gun-flint smokiness. The finish is all bright berry fruit and lingering, focused minerality that seems to go on forever.
