REDS
Jean-Jacques Girard Bourgogne Rouge 2018
Jean-Jacques Girard's family has been making wine in the Savigny-les Beaune valley for 500 years, so it's not surprising to find that his regional appellation Bourgogne Rouge drinks like a little Savigny. Blackcurrant freshness, a touch of earth subsoil, a supple, easy structure and bull's-eye line on through the whole from the attack to the finish.

Julien Cruchandeau Hautes Cotes de Nuits 'Les Cabottes' 2018
Tank raised.  12.5% alcohol. Vineyard in transition: half of it is 60 years old; the other half a new plantation 6 years old. The two parts are fermented separately then assembled in to one cuvee.  2018 gave him lovely phenolic maturity, so he did a slow cold maceration.  The result is enormous fruit and a wine accessible now.  Beautiful Pinot Noir!

Regnaugot Maranges 1er Cru 'Clos des Loyeres' 2019

This much-awarded wine, from an appellation you have probably never heard of, is the standard-bearer for the Maranges. When we first arrived in Burgundy, neighboring Santenay was considered rustic and undrinkable. All that has changed. And now it’s the turn of Maranges to come into the fold. Producers like the Regnaudots have been making it happen for a decade now. This premier cru ‘Clos des Loyeres’ is black cherry in color and black cherry in flavor, which is considered typical of the vineyard. It’s a gutsy wine, full-bodied, round and balanced. There’s a touch of cocoa on that fruit that is persistent right through to the finish. A classy example of what Maranges can be. You have to try this.

Richard Rottiers Cru de Beaujolais Moulin a Vent 2019
Richard Rottiers has winemaking in his blood. He is is from Chablis, not from the Beaujolais. But he specifically searched out prime vines in Moulin-a-Vent because he knows the potential there. Yields in Moulin-a-Vent are always naturally low, making this the most powerful, concentrated and long-lived of the Beaujolais cru. In fact, an older Moulin can easily be mistaken for a Pinot Noir from the Cotes de Nuits. Here we have pure gamay fruits, black and mineral, with the distictive Moulin-a-Vent lingering violets, Six months in 'foudre' (large oak barrels) give the wine structure, finesse and fullness.

WHITES
Julien Cruchandeau Bouzeron 'Massale' 2018
Deep, rich and dense with concentrated confit apple acidity, honey and cinnamon spicy. Great body, opulent and fresh.  Classic minerality gives it length and purity. And the complexity...you'd think it's a chablis premier cru!

Château de Vergisson Saint Veran 2019
This wine is pure pleasure.  Raised in stainless steel tanks, it’s pure, open, fresh, with a noseful of rich, ripe fruit that snaps with mineralty, and a mouthful of freshness that’s like biting into the grape bunch. Charming every-day drinking Burgundy!

Domaine Oudin Chablis 2018
Classic sweet river rock minerality and floral freshness, this is a meticulous perfectionists’ Chablis ‘tout-court’ (as the locals call the ‘village’ appellation). This wine is at its peak now and will remain there for another 3-4 years. A lovely introduction to the Domaine Oudin style.

Domaine Jean Fery Savigny les Beaune 1er Cru 'Les Vergelesses' Blanc 2018
Yes, we admit, it can be complicated! There is this WHITE Savigny les Beaune 1er Cru 'Les Vergelesses', but the domain also makes both a red Savigny-les Beaune 1er Cru and a red Pernand-Vergelesses 1er Cru ‘Les Vergelesses’ as well. To make things even more complicated, the Pernand 'Vergelesses' and the two Savigny 'Vergelesses' touch another Pernand premier cru called 'Ile des Vergelesses'! Sorry! We do our best to keep it all simple and clear. In addition to being the most complicated corner of the Savigny valley, it is also the most interesting. This Savigny white is an eye-catcher, with a greeny-gold hint. Fresh, elegant fruit notes with spice tones and a hint of honey and flinty smokiness.

SPARKLING
Champagne Gamet Rive Gauche NV
Rive Gauche is a blend of the Mardeuil terroirs, a cru where 1/3 of our plots are located. Clay-limestone terroirs, rich in minerals where the three Champagne grape varieties are present. Meunier, king of the Valley, Pinot Noir, as well as Chardonnay. This cuvée, elegant and of great finesse, is introduced by notes of peach, quince, roasted almond, acacia flowers and hawthorn. A fruity and floral cuvée offering an intense clay minerality, accompanied by aromas of fleshy fruits. Exceptionally fine bubbles!

Louis Picamelot Cremant de Bourgogne Rose 2018
Dynamic, with necklace of bubbles, the pink color is soft and intense, round but brisk. Carried by the delicacy of its bubbles, this Crémant wine hints at wild strawberry aromas and offers a seductive fullness. Ideal as an aperitif, it will also be a great match with your summer grilled food and your fruit desserts.

Pierre Brigandat Champagne Brut Tradition
Firstly, this is a well-made wine, then, the character of a second fermentation adds complexity.  Light golden hue and persistent effervescence gives you a hint of what to expect.

Domaine Borgeot Cremant de Bourgogne
Don’t call it Champagne. You’ll get us in trouble. But this Borgeot Cremant de Bourgogne is produced in the very same way as those much more expensive wines that we are allowed to call Champagne. A well-made Cremant is a joy. A wine you can pull out for any occasion. And a wine which is made on a more human scale than the millions upon millions of bottles produced by our neighbors to the north. And that’s reason enough to celebrate!
