RED WINES
Domaine Bernard Regnaudot Hautes Cotes de Beaune 2019
Although the vineyards are just outside the village of Maranges there certainly is a different character to this 'Hautes Côtes de Beaune' when compared to the other wines in our collection. We recommend a fun side by side comparison and you will detect the Terroir difference we celebrate here in Burgundy. The fruit is more prominent, with deeper notes of red berries. Rose petals with some background earthy notes emerge although blanketed with bright acidity, soft tannin notes of white pepper transcend into the finish
Domaine Royet Bourgogne Cotes de Couchois 2019
Bright Ruby color, fresh and intense black fruits, blackberry, cassis. A light toasty wood with the good acid base makes it mouth-watering. Fine, smooth tannins, good length. Aging potential: 5 years
Gilles Bouton Bourgogne Rouge 2019
Small production from vines within the commune. A delicate wine with ripe red fruits dominating throughout the tasting experience. Notes of earth emerge and continue into the finish.
WHITE WINES
Domaine Felix Saint Bris 'Cuvee Sainte Claire' 2020
Discreet Sauvignon notes throughout. Grassy and slightly herbal of thyme. Biscuity. The famous gooseberry, but also lime peel, pear and green apple. Smoky minerality, slightly saline. Along mineral finish on fruit and spice. Nice one.
Domaine Gilles Bouton Bourgogne Blanc 2020
Beautiful example of how good regional classified wines can be. The caveat is that the producer must be top quality, small production. Complex citrus on the attack, with good concentration, saline minerality merges with some white pepper into the finish.
Julien Cruchandeau Aligote 'Le Village' 2020
From 50 year old vines in the hills above Nuits St Georges, this Aligote is fresh and spicy with green apple acidity. Bright, crisp almost crunchy fruit and a deep, floral lingering finish carried out long by the limestone minerality.
