Domaine de Chateau de Vergisson Pouilly-Fuisse ‘En Charmont’ 2022
This is classic Pouilly-Fuisse from a top ‘village’ appellation vineyard. Pure gold, with lemon-drop fruit, a touch of tannin to give it structure, and lovely acidity. So round and balanced, you want to chew it.

Domaine Borgeot Santenay 1er Cru 'Gravieres' 2022
Santenay 1er Cru 'Les Gravieres' can be either red or white. 'Gravieres' implies gravel, loose stony soil. And the upper part of the vineyard is such. This is excellent soil for Chardonnay, with one of the best expositions in the southern Cote d'Or. Distinctive 'Borgeot' style, mineral driven, with both ripe citrus and slight stone fruit profile, there is a smokey quality that leads into hazelnut and honey. The rocky terroir is evident in the long clean finish. Great value Premier Cru White.

Domaine Gilles Bouton Saint Aubin 1er Cru 'En Remilly' 2021
‘En Remilly’ is arguably the best of the Saint Aubin premier cru vineyards. It falls from a steep, south-facing hillside which is an extension of the Grand Cru ‘Le Montrachet’ as the slopes follow the valley. The soil make-up (if you can even call it soil!) is pretty much crushed gravel, making for one of the most mineral whites in the zone. Floral, flinty and citric, it’s one of the great discoveries in white Burgundy.

Gilles Bouton Chassagne Montrachet Voillenots Dessus Blanc 2022
The vineyard sits in the heart of Chassagne-Montrachet, actually the name is an old reference to the ‘Neighborhood’ due to the proximity to the village houses. Complex citrus notes transform into fresh just ripe peach with subtle notes of smoke and spice. This wine feels alive !!
Julien Cruchandeau Hautes Cotes de Nuits Blanc 2022
Very low yields for the appellation (30hl/ha). Raised in 50% steel tank and 50% wood (with 10% new oak in the mix). Orange flower and honey, rich but fresh and open. Long pleasant floral finish.

Jean Dauvissat Pere et Fils Chablis 1er Cru Cote de Lechet 2020
A classic Cote de Lechet, about as mineral as Chablis can be. This premier cru Cote de Lechet is a model of Left Bank precision, razor sharp, with juicy, mouth-watering acidity. A characteristic floral attack and gun-flint smokiness fill the mid-palate, and the finish is bright berry fruit and long, long minerality.

Domaine Jean Fery Pernand-Vergelesses 'Les Combottes' 2022
Pernand 'Les Combottes' lies in a heat trap above and behind the village of Pernand-Vergelesses. In a sense it is the last vineyard in the line leading off of Corton-Charlemagne, which explains why you often see this village appellation bottled as a single vineyard lieu-dit. The Domaine Jean Fery has its roots in Echevronne, just above the village of Pernand-Vergelesses, so this is, in a sense, their signature white. Floral and mineral, uniquely Pernand, there's a freshness and a purity that is fleshy and fruity but well-cut and firm.

Domaine Jean Féry Bourgogne Hautes Côtes de Beaune 'La Petite Heulée 2021
Bourgogne Hautes-Côtes de Beaune " La Petite Heulée " shows a pale yellow robe that glistens with silver. The nose is citric, with ripe white-fleshed pear. The toastiness of the oak comes next. And then a note of struck-match. The mouth is incisive, crystalline, fresh, with notes of ripe citrus, ending with a long generous finish. This Hautes Cotes de Beaune is vinified in French oak barrels with a part in ceramic egg-shaped vats. A baby Savigny white. Its youthful vivacity tempered with a judicious use of oak yields a balance and a maturity beyond its years. That's the hand of the winemaker working with terroir that he was born to.

Agnes Paquet Auxey-Duresses Blanc 2022
Organic production from a 12 acre south facing contiguous vineyard in Auxey Duresses. Planted 90 years ago in both chardonnay and pinot noir, this is the original vineyard from Agnes' family domain. Agnes is in the process of using the plants from this vineyard to reproduce vines by 'selection massale' for all of her other vineyards. Oak fermentation and aging. 10% new oak. And then a 3 month assemblage in tank before bottling without filtration. Deep soil, limestone dominant, this is a classic white from the Cote de Beaune in the style of lean, steely Meursault.

Jean-Baptiste Ponsot Rully 1er Cru ‘Molesme’ 2022
Excellent structure, verging on the side of an acidity that carries the minerality and floral notes uniformly across the length and breadth of the palate. Beautiful marriage between the fat of the wine and the mineral tension. Round, precise and gourmand. Aging 12 months in barrels (25% of new oak barrels) and 3 months of assembly in mass.

Jean Claude Rateau Bourgogne Rouge Hautes Côtes de Beaune 2022
Racy and bright, ripe aromas of lemon and almond, spiced pear and apple, and that hint of sweet river rock. The palate is balanced and has impressive length. The antithesis of fat, oaky Chardonnay, this is a real terroir wine and a great value.
