Is Volnay the epicenter of Red Burgundy? I used to think it was Chambole-Musigny, with that fist-in-a-velvet-glove complexity. But as my Burgundy palate matures,  I keep turning to Volnay.

It's the most cerebral expression of pinot noir on earth. You don't need to drink it; Just hold it in your glass, swirl and think. And with these two vintages, 2018 and 2020, there's plenty to ponder.

So here we have a very classy Volnay premier cru 'Les Fremiets' From one of the greatest winemakers working today in two different versions of lushness.
