Bernard Regnaudot arrived in Dezizes-les Maranges in 1996, but he is a third-generation vigneron. Soft-spoken and discreet, he works just under 16 acres of vineyards with his son, Florian.

He is considered one of the ‘locomotives’ of the appellation Maranges, a tiny strip of vineyards stretching out to the west of Santenay in the direction of the Couchois. A historic vintage in an appellation that is all of the sudden the chou-chou of the Burgundy wine world.

Domaine Regnaudot Maranges 1er Cru 'Clos des Loyères' 2022
This much-awarded wine, from an appellation you have probably never heard of, is the standard-bearer for the Maranges. When we first arrived in Burgundy, neighboring Santenay was considered rustic and undrinkable. All that has changed. And now it’s the turn of Maranges to come into the fold. Producers like the Regnaudots have been making it happen for a decade now. This premier cru ‘Clos des Loyeres’ is black cherry in color and black cherry in flavor, which is considered typical of the vineyard. It’s a gutsy wine, full-bodied, round and balanced. There’s a touch of cocoa on that fruit that is persistent right through to the finish. A classy example of what Maranges can be. 

Regnaudot Maranges Les Saugeot 2022
This village appellation vineyard overlooks the wonderfully named village of Dezize-les-Maranges which is the home of Domaine Regnaudot. The view from their back garden looks onto these aged vines. Quality is constantly improving in this AOC and here is an excellent example. A typic note of forest floor introduces a fruit profile that is more small red and black wild berries. Both the tannin and acidity is pronounced but not overpowering. A really nice food wine and a perfect introduction to this producers Premier Cru.

Domaine Regnaudot Hautes Côtes de Beaune 2022
Although the vineyards are just outside the village of Maranges there certainly is a different character to this 'Hautes Côtes de Beaune' when compared to the other wines in our collection. We recommend a fun side by side comparison and you will detect the Terroir difference we celebrate here in Burgundy. The fruit is more prominent, with deeper notes of red berries. Rose petals with some background earthy notes emerge although blanketed with bright acidity, soft tannin notes of white pepper transcend into the finish.
