REDS
Gilles Bouton Bourgogne Rouge 2019
Small production from vines within the commune. A delicate wine with ripe red fruits dominating throughout the tasting experience. Notes of earth emerge and continue into the finish.
Domaine Felix Bourgogne Cotes d'Auxerre Rouge 2018
Great Pinot fruit with strawberries and blackcurrant. Spicy and mineral. Great balance between fruit and acidity, alive. Makes you salivate.
Domaine Royet Bourgogne Cotes de Couchois 2019
Bright Ruby color, fresh and intense black fruits, blackberry, cassis. A light toasty wood with the good acid base makes it mouth-watering. Fine, smooth tannins, good length. Aging potential: 5 years
Domaine Albert Boillot Bourgogne Pinot Noir 2019
Pale ruby in color, this is an elegant, delicate expression of Pinot Noir, full of red berry fruit and silky tannins. The limestone adds complexity in the form of fine, chalky tannins.
Richard Rottiers Beaujolais Villages 2019
Classic Beaujolais village, fruity and spicy...from 60 year old vines. Great depth and body. This is what the Beaujolais renaissance is all about!
Domaine Michel Arcelain Bourgogne 2018
The grapes for this Bourgogne all come from the commune of Pommard, the climat of ‘Les Lormes’, ’Seurets’ and ‘Crenilles’. Hand harvested and 100% de-stemmed. The wine is matured in oak barrels for 22 months, however no new oak is used in order to protect the fruit profile freshness. Its aromas are red fruit, soft tannin with some hints of tertiary notes of underwood and spices. The palate is cranberries with a background of cassis, white pepper, rose, tea leaf tannin and bright minerality. The finish is long, lingering and balanced. A great introduction that demands more exploration of the producer. The domaine is committed to a reasoned culture from vines to wines. The philosophy is also to use traditional and modern methods to produce a wine as natural as possible. The wines of Domaine Arcelain are timeless classics, never brash, they do drink well young however hidden within these powerfully subtle wines there is an immense ability to age and improve.

Domaine Borgeot Bourgogne Blanc 'Clos de la Carbonade' 2020
This single-vineyard Bourgogne 'Clos de la Carbonade' is wholly owned by the Borgeots. And the wine they make there is the greatest surprise on our list. It's a small parcel, located in the village of Bouzeron, the northernmost village of the Cote Chalonnaise. But don't be fooled by its modest pedigree: the 'Clos de la Carbonade' has something special about it. And year after year we see remarkable wines that far outshine appellations much grander than Bourgogne. The Borgeot's can't explain it...yet. But there is a geological study underway to see what makes this parcel tick.
Domaine Borgeot Bouzeron 2018
Floral and fresh, with green apple acidity and body. Minerality picks up the acidity and carries it to a long finish. Elegant expression of aligoté doré from a single vineyard. Great aperitif wine, but has what it takes to age.
Domaine Felix Saint Bris 2019
Fresh and lively, with notes of citrus and the famous gooseberry. Bold attack and vivacious mid-palate, fruity and herbaceous.
Julien Cruchandeau Aligote 'Le Village' 2020
From 50 year old vines in the hills above Nuits St Georges, this Aligote is fresh and spicy with green apple acidity. Bright, crisp almost crunchy fruit and a deep, floral lingering finish carried out long by the limestone minerality.
Domaine Alain Vignot Bourgogne 'Collinieres' 2020
This wine is unique, Domaine Vignot are the only producers. Made from a blend of two grape varieties: Pinot Blanc and Chardonnay, it draws its aromas from the smoky terroir of the Côte Saint Jacques.
Domaine Felix Saint Bris 'Cuvee Sainte Claire' 2020
Discreet Sauvignon notes throughout. Grassy and slightly herbal of thyme. Biscuity. The famous gooseberry, but also lime peel, pear and green apple. Smoky minerality, slightly saline. Along mineral finish on fruit and spice. Nice one.
