Case includes 4 bottles of each RED with Ground Shipping included:
Domaine De Suremain Monthelie 1er cru 'Le Clou des Chenes' 2018
Of the two De Suremain Monthelie 1er Cru, this ‘Clou des Chenes’ would be the one to lay down. You immediately sense the structure: the vanilla and black pepper; the tender tannins, integrated but present. And then you get the fruit, frank, foursquare and generous. You can go for the immediate pleasure, but better to wait a few years to get the full show.
Domaine De Suremain Rully 1er Cru 'Preaux' 2018
Very pretty Pinot Noir from the charming 2015 vintage. This premier cru Rully from the Cote Chalonnaise throws out a range of complexity from red currant acidity to black cherry suavity. A touch of rusticity in the tannins brings out a freshness and vivacity that makes this wine approachable now, and that will make it magnificent in 4-5 years’ time.
Domaine De Suremain Chateau de Monthelie 2017
This village appellation Monthelie is an ‘assemblage’ of four different parcels of vines, each of which is vinified and raised separately. Yields are very low here (22hl/ha), and the result is a wine of intense limpid ruby color, with a youthful fruit and spice attack that already shows complexity and elegance. 2010 is showing itself to be a vintage with great aging potential, and the tight tannins and juicy acidity that we see here proves the point.
