POTINET-AMPEAU MIXED CASE
The Domaine Potinet-Ampeau
is one the last remaining Burgundy producers
to hold vintages in their cellars to age before release.
Vincent Durrieu is the fifth generation to carry forward
these very noble Burgundian traditions.
And their cellars, as you can imagine, are a rich source
of exquisite Burgundy.
Perfect and true.
Here's a chance to taste Burgundy, of uncompromising style and layered complexity. Something you will never forget and that you will rarely find elsewhere.

Potinet-Ampeau Pommard 1er Cru 'Les Pezerolles' 2012 (red)
The Pommard 1er Cru 'Les Pezerolles' vineyard sits on the Beaune side of Pommard facing east, just above the walled in vineyards of 'Les Epenots'. The soil make up has enough clay in it to give a consistently powerful wine, year in, year out. 'Pezerolles' is considered one of the great Pommards; rich, round, gutsy, with deep color, intense fruit and good tannis. It is particularly apt for aging in the Potinet-Ampeau style.
Potinet-Ampeau Volnay 1er Cru 'Clos des Chenes' 2012
Volnay 1er Cru 'Clos des Chenes'. Do we need to introduce one of the best-known vineyards of this generation? Here we have that 2012 fruit, just coming into its maturity, but with lots of legs left to run. The precise, chiseled palate is generous red fruit and density. A great vineyard, in a great vintage, from Potinet-Ampeau...who know a thing or two about making wine to age.
Potinet Ampeau Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru 'Champs Gains' 2016
If you want to see what our palate is like for the great White Burgundy of the 'golden triangle' of Puligny, Chassagne and Meursault, this Puligny 1er Cru 'Champs-Gains' from Potinet-Ampeau is a paradigm. Here the subtlest of all Burgundy white minerality lets the freshness sing. Pure, floral, ripe and refined. But under all is a powerful structure that starts out discreetly, but rises insistently and carries the whole package through the mid-palate on to an impressively long finish. Classic Puligny.
Domaine Potinet Ampeau Meursault 2016
The Domaine Potinet-Ampeau is situated in the village of Monthelie in the southern part of the Cote de Beaune, between Meursault and Volnay. The domain is one of very few remaining who have a policy of holding vintages in their own cellars to allow them to age correctly before release. For this reason we can offer you not only older vintages, but older vintages that have been perfectly stored. This village Meursault is a classic, with depth and structure, lemony acidity in youth, moving to honey as it ages. Grilled almond, and floral notes with a flinty minerality. Rich, as you would expect, with a great balance between fatness and freshness.
