Domaine Michel Rebourgeon Bourgogne Cote d’Or Rouge 2021
Expressive Pinot with both power and fruit: the power of the Pommard terroir with deep ripeness. An amazingly charming nose and a wine that drinks above its appellation.
Domaine Albert Boillot Bourgogne Pinot Noir 2020
Pale ruby in color, this is an elegant, delicate expression of Pinot Noir, full of red berry fruit and silky tannins. The limestone adds complexity in the form of fine, chalky tannins.
Domaine Jean Marechal Bourgogne 2018
Assembled from wine from two different parcels of appellation Bourgogne that are situated in the limits of Mercurey, you could call this a ‘little Mercurey’, the terroir and black fruits so resemble the village appellation. Severe pruning limits the yields (45hl/ha) reinforces the deep Pinot character of the fruit.
Domaine Michel Arcelain Bourgogne 2019
The grapes for this Bourgogne all come from the commune of Pommard, the climat of ‘Les Lormes’, ’Seurets’ and ‘Crenilles’. Hand harvested and 100% de-stemmed. The wine is matured in oak barrels for 22 months, however no new oak is used in order to protect the fruit profile freshness. Its aromas are red fruit, soft tannin with some hints of tertiary notes of underwood and spices. The palate is cranberries with a background of cassis, white pepper, rose, tea leaf tannin and bright minerality. The finish is long, lingering and balanced. A great introduction that demands more exploration of the producer. The domaine is committed to a reasoned culture from vines to wines. The philosophy is also to use traditional and modern methods to produce a wine as natural as possible. The wines of Domaine Arcelain are timeless classics, never brash, they do drink well young however hidden within these powerfully subtle wines there is an immense ability to age and improve.
Richard Rottiers Beaujolais Villages 2022
Classic Beaujolais village, fruity and spicy...from 60 year old vines. Great depth and body. This is what the Beaujolais renaissance is all about!
Domaine Alain Vignot Bourgogne Cote Saint-Jacques Rouge 'Les Ronces' 2020
This single-vineyard Pinot Noir comes from the best parcel on the Cote Saint-Jacques, giving Les Ronces a structure worth laying down. Surprising depth for a wine from the northernmost part of Burgundy.
