DOMAINE DE CROMEY BOURGOGNE ‘LE CLOS’ MONOPOLE BLANC 2023 CASE
AVAILABLE TO SHIP SPRING 2025
Five years ago, we planted a seven-acre vineyard here at the Domaine de Cromey, known as 'Le Clos'.
And here, at last, it is: Domaine de Cromey Bourgogne 'Le Clos' Monopole Blanc 2023
Le Clos was a vineyard that was part of the original estate, then known as Le Chateau de Cromey. It is wholly owned by the Domaine de Cromey, hence the addition of 'monopole' to the label.
It had not had vines on it for over 70 years, meaning that the soil was never touched by chemical fertilizers or pesticides, making it ideal for the production of an organic wine.
As such, it has become the jewel in the crown of the Cromey ethic.
This 2023 vintage shows the potential of the Domaine de Cromey, and of the Couchois region of Burgundy in general. Because the vineyard is higher up in the hills than the adjacent vines in Santenay and the Maranges, it is well-positioned for the warming future.
Be among the first to taste the freshness and minerality that the Couchois hills bring to organic chardonnay. And share in our excitement as we live the dream.
