Domaine Borgeot Santenay 1er Cru 'Gravieres' 2017
Santenay 1er Cru 'Les Gravieres' can be either red or white. 'Gravieres' implies gravel, loose stony soil. And the upper part of the vineyard is such. This is excellent soil for Chardonnay, with one of the best expositions in the southern Cote d'Or. Mineral and smoky, lemongrass acidity, dead-center structure, this is a Borgeot white par excellence.
Domaine Borgeot Chassagne Montrachet 1er Cru 'Chenevottes' 2017
The Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru 'Chenevottes', located east of the village and not far from grand cru Montrachet, is a complex vineyard, made up of light soils that are easy to cultivate on a mild slope with good exposure. What you get is a wine that is extremely bright with citric acidity and floral aromas that are finely chiseled, and with a concentration that finishes long and intense.
Domaine Borgeot Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru 'Morgeot' 2017
If you do not know Chassagne Montrachet red, you are missing one of the great pleasures of Pinot in Burgundy. This lieu dit 'Champs de Morgeot' is lush and spicy, with a totally different spin on the Pinot Noir from further north in Volnay and Pommard. Luscious and juicy, in the hands of the Borgeot brothers this is a gem of a Pinot, with great structure and density infused with black fruits.
