Richard Rottiers Beaujolais Villages 2019 (Sold out of Moulin-a-Vent)
Classic Beaujolais village, fruity and spicy...from 60 year old vines. Great depth and body. This is what the Beaujolais renaissance is all about!
Agnès Paquet Auxey-Duresses Rouge 2018
A good percentage of whole grape in the maceration gives this Auxey red a delicate encapsulated burst of cherry fruit. The Auxey terroir and tannic structure on display, and the ensemble is well-structured and juicy in youth.
Domaine Mouton Givry 1er Cru 'Clos Jus' 2018
Always ripe and juicy, ready to drink relatively early. Minerality is the key here, from a vineyard with different soil make-up to the rest of the appellation. Dark fruit, earth notes, delicate structure fleshed out to fullness.
Domaine De Suremain Rully 1er Cru 'Préaux' 2015
Very pretty Pinot Noir from the charming 2015 vintage. This premier cru Rully from the Cote Chalonnaise throws out a range of complexity from red currant acidity to black cherry suavity. A touch of rusticity in the tannins brings out a freshness and vivacity that makes this wine approachable now, and that will make it magnificent in 4-5 years’ time.
Château Cary Potet Bourgogne Rouge 2018
A limpid ruby red that catches the light, with raspberry, red currant and even blueberry notes, this is a youthful wine that is easy to drink, full of bursting fruit and discreet tannins.
Domaine Agnès Paquet Bourgogne Rouge 2018
Partly raised in steel with a with a small percentage of oak. Good structure, good acidity, clean tannins. But also, ripe blackberry fruit in the bouquet, and fresh fruit in the attack. A beautiful Pinot, a beautiful Bourgogne and a real pleasure.
