We’re not into oaky Chardonnay. We like our whites to be fresh, lively and complex, showing off the diversity of Burgundian minerality. You can taste the ‘terroir’ in Elden Selections White Burgundy, from Chablis, through the Cote de Beaune and onward to the south.

Domaine Royet Bourgogne Chardonnay 2022
This young, talented winemaker Domaine is situated just a few minutes south of our beloved Domaine de Cromey. The rolling hillsides of the Côtes de Couchois has both limestone and granite. Pale gold color, the nose is all subtle exotic fruits. The palate attack is frank, clean and crisp with a floral bouquet that gives way to a bright acidity and slightly saline finish. Aging potential: 2 to 3 years

Domaine Felix Saint Bris 'Cuvee Sainte Claire' 2021
Discreet Sauvignon notes throughout. Grassy and slightly herbal of thyme. Biscuity. The famous gooseberry, but also lime peel, pear and green apple. Smoky minerality, slightly saline. Along mineral finish on fruit and spice. Nice one.

Domaine de Chateau de Vergisson Saint Veran 2022
A serious Saint-Veran. There’s no lack of limestone, which brings with it finesse and subtlety in the nose, and a rich, lemony, mouth-watering saline fruit which is carried on and on to an elegant mineral finish.

Julien Cruchandeau Hautes Cotes de Nuits Blanc 2022
Very low yields for the appellation (30hl/ha). Raised in 50% steel tank and 50% wood (with 10% new oak in the mix). Orange flower and honey, rich but fresh and open. Long pleasant floral finish.

Domaine Oudin Chablis 2022
Classic sweet river rock minerality and floral freshness, this is a meticulous perfectionists’ Chablis ‘tout-court’ (as the locals call the ‘village’ appellation). This wine is at its peak now and will remain there for another 3-4 years. A lovely introduction to the Domaine Oudin style

Domaine Michel Rebourgeon Bourgogne Blanc 2021
From a tiny plot, less than half an acre. For those of you who know the area, it’s near the roundabout between Pommard and Beaune. Freshness, green apple and floral. Round, good depth and density.
