Domaine Michel Arcelain Bourgogne Bourgogne Cote d'Or 2019
The grapes for this Bourgogne all come from the commune of Pommard, the climat of ‘Les Lormes’, ’Seurets’ and ‘Crenilles’. Hand harvested and 100% de-stemmed. The wine is matured in oak barrels for 22 months, however no new oak is used in order to protect the fruit profile freshness. Its aromas are red fruit, soft tannin with some hints of tertiary notes of underwood and spices. The palate is cranberries with a background of cassis, white pepper, rose, tea leaf tannin and bright minerality. The finish is long, lingering and balanced. A great introduction that demands more exploration of the producer. The domaine is committed to a reasoned culture from vines to wines. The philosophy is also to use traditional and modern methods to produce a wine as natural as possible.  The wines of Domaine Arcelain are timeless classics, never brash, they do drink well young however hidden within these powerfully subtle wines there is an immense ability to age and improve.

Domaine Borgeot Bourgogne Rouge 2020
This is one wine that is always in our cellar. In fact, it's our 'house red'! This is one of the paradigms of what we call 'everyday drinking Burgundy'. Classic youthful Burgundy Pinot Noir with blackberries and strawberries and that earthiness that keeps you coming back. It is as we claim: you can drink Burgundy every day. This one should be in your cellar too. Pull it out, guilt free and often!

Jean-Jacques Girard Bourgogne Rouge 2021
Girard's family has been making wine in the Savigny-les Beaune valley for 500 years, so it's not surprising to find that his regional appellation Bourgogne Rouge drinks like a little Savigny. Blackcurrant freshness, a touch of earth subsoil, a supple, easy structure and bull's-eye line on through the whole from the attack to the finish.

Chateau Cary-Potet Bourgogne Rouge 2019
A limpid ruby red that catches the light, with raspberry, red currant and even blueberry notes, this is a youthful wine that is easy to drink, full of bursting fruit and discreet tannins.

Domaine Jean Marechal Bourgogne 2018
Assembled from wine from two different parcels of appellation Bourgogne that are situated in the limits of Mercurey, you could call this a ‘little Mercurey’, the terroir and black fruits so resemble the village appellation. Severe pruning limits the yields (45hl/ha) reinforces the deep Pinot character of the fruit.

Marchand-Tawse Bourgogne Pinot Noir 2020
From the first whiff you know there is substance here. The nose is so expressive and full of black fruit. There’s great tannic structure, but well integrated. There’s charm. fresh, soft and spicy. And what you find in the nose lingers to a long delicate finish

WHITES
Julien Cruchandeau Aligote 'Le Village' 2020
From 50 year old vines in the hills above Nuits St Georges, this Aligote is fresh and spicy with green apple acidity. Bright, crisp almost crunchy fruit and a deep, floral lingering finish carried out long by the limestone minerality.

Marchand-Tawse Bourgogne Blanc 2020
From parcels around Savigny-les Beaune, Pernand-Vergelesses and the Hautes Cotes de Nuits, this is a cuvee designed to show Pascal Marchand’s vision of Chardonnay. Floral, with that Corton Mountain minerality, great acidity that makes it mouth-wateringly juicy and open. It’s ready. A lovely image of white from the middle reaches of the Cote d’Or.

Domaine Felix Saint Bris 'Cuvee Sainte Claire' 2020
Discreet Sauvignon notes throughout. Grassy and slightly herbal of thyme. Biscuity. The famous gooseberry, but also lime peel, pear and green apple. Smoky minerality, slightly saline. Along mineral finish on fruit and spice. Nice one.

Julien Cruchandeau Bouzeron 'Massale' 2019
Deep, rich and dense with concentrated confit apple acidity, honey and cinnamon spicy. Great body, opulent and fresh. Classic minerality gives it length and purity. And the complexity...you'd think it's a chablis premier cru!

Jean Dauvissat Pere et Fils Chablis 2019
Chalky Chablis minerality make you immediately think that this village Chablis comes from vines on the left bank of the Serein. Many of the Dauvissat holdings are there, near Milly, the hamlet at the foot of the Cote de Lechet. Here, deep berry fruit and lemon drop (orange, really) acidity produce a big, concentrated wine which is wide open on the palate, with a long rich finish driven on by that minerality. There’s a new kid on the block!

Agnes Paquet Bourgogne Chardonnay 2021
Raised partly in steel with a small percentage of oak, this Chardonnay from strong limestone soils in the Hautes Cotes is crunchy, like biting in to the grape bunch, with fantastic freshness and good acidity on the finish. Mineral and pure.
